I thought I'd write an update on Jackson since he is doing so incredibly well! He deserves some praise! We began homeschooling him in January, whereas he had been attending K4 at a Christian school nearby in the fall. I have never once regretted our decision to school him at home, as he is the model student! I love having him at home and watching lightbulbs click in his head as he is learning and discovering new things daily. I never miss a single second of it and for that i am grateful. Jackson started reading in January (yes, at only age 4!!) and is now doing simple addition, along with other things. We have gone on 2 field trips with the church homeschool group - the 1st to the firestation and out to lunch and the 2nd to see a play at a theatre downtown. It was Harry the Dirty Dog (we had checked out the book from the library and so that made the musical on stage even more fun!). We also went with Grammy's friend to see her horse and the other horses and 5 day old pony at some stables just outside of town. We go to gymnastics, ballet (for Mia) and he local library once a week too. Soccer will begin again in 2 weeks. Jackson's gymnastics coach is a Russian man who has won 4 gold medals in the Olympics!
Jacks is just so bright and I see more and more of Phil in him every day. He still loves playing with trains, legos and monster trucks and cars. He loves to read and be read to. He loves playing outside, building and creating. He is extremely artistic and creative and can make contraptions and things out of nothing (pictured is a pulley system he made in the backyard to move sand across the yard). He is just so fun, outgoing, sweet and smart. He has started really praying outloud a lot and it is amazing to watch him grow in the Lord and mature there as well.
Jackson , my love, you are an amazing person and the coolest little guy I have ever known! I thank God every single day that he let YOU make me a MAMA!!
