Ella has started giving great big and quite loud KISSES this past week! It is so cute when you ask for a kiss and she pooches her lips and with a loud "Mmmm Muh!" she gives the sweetest kisses! This morning when I got her out of bed, she gave me a great big loud kiss on my head. So lovely!
She also loves to growl like a dinosaur or back to the dogs.
She has taken one step, but mostly just likes to stand in the middle of the room and clap. She entertained her entire nursery class at church this way last week and had all the babies laughing at her abilities. Phil calls her "No Walk and Stander", funny.
She has gotten 1 more tooth - a total of 8 now!
She had her well check and is a tiny little thing with her weight coming in at only 20th percentile and her height at 40th percentile. Petite and sweet just like her Mama and her Mia!
Ella says "Dackson or Dacks" all of the time and she also loves to say "UH OH!" She is repeating a lot of words when we talk to her - for instance, she was playing with a baby doll that Mia had taken the dress off and I said to Ella - "Want me to get your baby dressed?" and she smiled and said "Dess!"
She says Nigh Night, "Tay You" (Thank you), bubba, Mama, Daddy, Dad, Gramma, Dog, and at gymnastics the other day she kept repeating "Dackson" over and over and then in an all jumbled together way she said "Wherehego?" (Where did he go?) and I said "Did you say 'Where'd he go?" and she started laughing and said it over and over again. SMART GIRL!
She loves to put herself in the middle of Jackson and Mia and play with them, they are very good about including her and talking to her.
We had family pictures taken by our photographer friend on Friday, and it is evident in the candid pictures she took that they are all 3 best friends. Ahh!

Happy 1st Birthday my little sweets!!
My dear sweet Ella Isabel,
Tomorrow you are turning one year old. It seems like just yesterday I felt your kicks inside my tummy and wondered how much longer I would wait for your impending arrival. You were born 5 weeks and 1 day early. You were 5 lbs 10 oz., 18 ¼ “ long with blonde hair that had waves. You were absolute pink perfection! The time has absolutely flown by and I cannot believe tomorrow you will be 1 year old.
You have a smile that warms a strangers heart and a giggle that is infectious. Your blue eyes are captivating and sparkle with a sense of joy, intelligence and love. You are truly amazing. You love to climb and bounce and play. You will find your brother and sister where ever they are and play with them with fervor. And not a one of you seem to notice that you are only a mere 12 months old, you all play so nicely and have the best time.
You are a good eater, with your 5 teeth and all! You love pasta, veggies, chicken, bread, cheese, and brownies! You love to sing and dance with music and you have even started to whistle! It is a breathy little whistle, but whistling nonetheless, so crazy seeing your tiny self whistling like that! When praise music comes on you will lift your hands to the sky and worship, so precious.
You say a lot of words, one of the cutest is “Uh Oh!” when you see a mess or right before you drop something. You still like to snuggle into me and pat me or stroke my face. You are a great sleeper and still take 2 naps a day. You love to swing outside and lift your face to the wind and feel the breeze in your hair. Anytime I touch my hair, you will reach up and rub your tiny hand on your own little head. You are so cute the way you try to copy the things we do.
You are not walking on your own yet, but you stand up by yourself in the middle of the room, then you laugh so hard you never seem to be able to take a step.
Yet.
You will walk soon sweet girl, of this I know.
I always dreamed of a day when the Lord would give daddy and I three children. I always hoped it’d be so.
You made our lives complete little girl and you have brought sincere joy to our days and smiles to our lips.
Your tiny kisses and sweet sweet face make me so happy to be your Mama.
You are my little Ella Isabel Lovey!

Need a little help?
During gymnastics yesterday, I could not find Mia in her class. I saw her teacher looking around for her too - just then I saw her teachers face look shocked and then start laughing.
There was Mia walking from the bathroom towards her teacher, completely naked with her panties and leotard in her hands out-stretched in front of her.
I made a mad dash downstairs to help her get everything back on my sweet little girl.... I guess getting those leotards OFF is a lot easier than putting them ON!

All three kids are at a point where they want to ALL play together constantly! Jacks and Mia have always been best friends, and now little Ella is big enough to join in the fun! She laughs at their jokes, tries to build with their blocks, play trains or house! It is adorable!
Right now they are "racing" down the long entry way downstairs and when they start, they are saying "On Your Marks! Get set! GO!" and running! Ella will squeal with delight, start crawling after them and shouting "Go! Go! Go! Go!"

I love hearing them play and talk together - all THREE of them.
This is truly what family is about and why i LOVE being a stay at home Mama!

I said to my Bub...
Mia came to me yesterday morning and said "I said to my Bub, (jackson/bubba) I am going to get some coffee! I did... I said to my Bub I am getting coffee! I am!"
She is so deliciously cute and adorable I find myself wanting to give her a cup of joe and sit and talk over breakfast! Ah! Some day sweet girl! Some day!

Happy Easter!
Yesterday was Ella's very first Easter! The girls were adorable in their tulle dresses and Jackson so handsome in his khaki pants, despite the extremely cold weather!
Four years ago on Easter Sunday, April 20th, 2003, I miscarried twin babies and it was devastating. This Easter was so special, as our Easter Ella was born exactly 3 years later on April 20, 2006! God is so good and so faithful to love us despite our weaknesses! What a joy to hold my baby girl during the Easter service and kiss her sweet blonde head all over while she slept so peacefully on her Mama.
Thank you Lord for my Easter Ella and the significance of her birthday!

One hard sleeper!
Ella sleeps REALLY hard and almost always wakes up with lines on her face from where she pulls down her chenille bumper pad and uses it as a pillow... this particular nap brought some extreme markings that i just had to catch on camera - poor girl just woke up and Mama is flashing the camera in her face!
