Girls Night!

Mia and I had a girls night last night and she had so much fun playing in all the makeup that some of our church friends gave her! On a normal day, i would not normally let her play with makeup, but desperate times call for basically whatever she wants! haha! So we had fun putting makeup on each other, fixing our hair, painting our nails and watching Cinderella!

Mia's good friend Emma Kate (lovingly referred to as Emma Cake) came to visit yesterday with some of our best friends Jenny and JD (and baby Addison).

"I'm All Packed Mama!!"

Two weeks ago Mia called out to me "I'm all packed Mama!!"

i came into her room to discover that she had packed 3 of the empty purple bins with toys, pillows, dolls, some clothes and some panties, the stool to her piano and the ottoman to her chair! She was really putting some thought into what she would need!

This girl is so adorable! i love it!

Please keep little Miss Mia in your prayers. She has been suffering with on and off fever for over a month now and the last 12 days she has had a fairly high fever and been pretty lethargic. Last week they sent us to have her tested for Leukemia and it was an enormous scare, THANK YOU JESUS that she does not have cancer. I will take her in tomorrow for even more extensive testing to get to the bottom of why her fever will not go away. This poor girl is so tired of being sick and just wants to feel good so she can play and have fun all the time again!!

Here i will post pictures of our dream home/land as it is being built! We bought 3.5 acres in Boerne, Texas. It is a cute and quaint little town with antique shops, boutiques, nice restaurants and a river. Our home is in Waterstone on the Guadalupe. Our neighborhood has 2 private parks on the Guadalupe River where you can park a car at each river and float down the river in tubes, rafts or kayaks. Jackson and Phil (and our good friend JD) just did it for the first time yesterday and said it was amazing! Please come visit any time to come along. There is a neat swimming hole that we have been to many times already and all of the kids enjoy it! The river park is right around the corner from our new home and has picnic benches and grills too. It is just amazing! we cannot believe we will be living in such an amazing place among God's beautiful nature!We are building a custom home with Stone Creek Custom Homes. The estimated time of completion is mid December or January. I am planning on January. They are even building many of my antiques into the home and for that i am ecstatic!

It has been since July since i've put any pics of the kids! so here are a bunch!

Schools IN!

We started back to school on Thursday of this week. Things have gone amazingly smoothly for the 1st two days. and despite a 3 month break, Jacks is quickly back in full swing and doesn't seem to have forgotten ANYTHING!

he is such a pleasure and a joy to teach and love.

So far Mia has enjoyed sitting with us and working on some of the preschool worksheets I have gotten her. The 2nd day of school she was sitting coloring at the table as I finished mopping the floor and she said with her big dimple grin "Mama! Wanna play school now!?" I just laughed and said "YES!"
She enjoys doing Bible with us as well as Science. They both pipe up and answer the questions and listen intently as I read the stories.

Mia overheard me reading some directions to Jackson and I said "Fill in the circle by the correct answer"
Mia said "Did you say PHIL? Did you say PHIL? that's our daddy's name! Phil!!"

i love it! Thank you God and Phil for letting me be a stay at home Mama! Like i love to say - my children are the loves of my day and the creators of my messes!!
