Dear Ella Isabel, January 20, 2007
Today you turned 9 months old. You are just the cutest little thing and oh so much fun! You are still nursing at least 5 times a day and you are still so snuggly while you do it and love to rub my arm and neck. You have started cruising and this past month you have finally started to crawl forward and you are all over the house now! You are so cute and calculated while you are doing it. You lift each arm high up and put it down so deliberately where you want it to go. You have your eyes wide open and a big smile on your face, as you go straight for Bubba’s toys! Jackson has mixed feelings, he is very excited to see you crawl, but trying to protect his things at the same time! Mostly he wants to make sure you do not get anything you can choke on. He is a very good big brother and Mia is a wonderful big sister. She likes to help me change your diaper and she loves to hold your hand and pat your head. When you crawled into Mia's room last week for the 1st time, she started shouting "Ella wants to have a tea party with me! Ella wants to have a tea party!"
You smile so big at them and love to say Bubba, Dada, Mama, Ella, and Hi!! You will wave at daddy and say in a sweet breathy voice “Hiii Dada!” when he comes home from work. You still pump your legs and shriek with a big smile when you are excited. You got two more teeth this last month and that helps out with the table food, since you already crave to be just like your big brother and sister. You are sweet as can be, but can hold your own as well. You will scream at the top of your lungs when someone takes your toy or if the dogs come near you to take your food. It is hilarious… how fast you have caught on to their wilisome ways. Your personality is booming and we can tell you will be a funny one, as you already think things beyond your age are funny (mama’s different voices in story telling or the raise of an eyebrow).
You are amazing and we are so glad you are ours.
